IIntro to After Effects is a beginner-friendly course designed to introduce students to the powerful world of motion graphics and compositing. Starting with the user interface, students will learn how to navigate After Effects, work with layers, keyframes, and effects, and understand the basics of animation. Through hands-on projects, they’ll explore essential tools like masks, blending modes, and keying techniques to create dynamic visuals.

A key focus of the course will be green screen removal (chroma keying) and motion design. Students will learn how to cleanly extract subjects from a green screen using built-in keying tools, then integrate them into new environments with realistic effects and animations. Additionally, they will create engaging motion graphics, using text animation, shape layers, and transitions to bring their designs to life. By the end of the course, students will have a strong foundation in After Effects, preparing them for advanced visual effects, animation, and video post-production.
